Error--Urgent
"Duplicate key was ignored"
How to suppress this message in dts?
Version : Sql server 2000 service pack 3a
Thanks
BalaDon't think you can suppress the message. There are a few
ways to deal with it - one option is to import the data into
a staging table and then import the data into the real table
using SQL for whatever logic you need to import from the
staging table into the final table.

Errors adding a column in 64-bit version
I have run into an interesting problem. I have some code that adds a column to an existing table. The column is set as primary key, identity and clustered. On the 32-bit version of SQL 2005 it works fine. It fails on the 64-bit version of 2005 intermittently with a "could not create unique index because duplicate values were found". Kind of odd, considering as an identity field it's creating the values. I was able to recreate the problem with the following schema:
Create table test1
(col1 varchar(20),
col2 varchar(20),
col3 uniqueidentifier default newid())
-- insert data
Declare @.counter int
set @.counter=1
While @.counter < 1000000
BEGIN
insert into test1
values ('Joe','Smith',default)
Set @.counter=@.counter+1
END
-- add column
Alter table test1 add col4 int constraint PK_test1 primary key clustered identity
After Running this, I get this error:
CREATE UNIQUE INDEX terminated because a duplicate key was found for object name 'dbo.Test1' and index name 'PK_test1'. The duplicate key value is (28).
Anybody else run into this? Why would this be happening, and is there any way to fix it? I'm running the 64-bit version of Windows 2003 and the the 64-bit version of SQL Server 2005.
Thanks in advance,
Mark
Could you please file a bug with these details / repro steps at the MSDN Product Feedback Center? I do not have a 64-bit m/c to try this out. Also, please mention the editions of Windows and SQL Server (x64, IA, EMT). Thanks.Sunday, February 26, 2012
error:an item with the same key has already been added
i just moved to the april ctp beta 2 version of dts(i know it's already late to do that). i created a new project and moved the packages i did on beta 1 into it. after building it, and when i run the dtsintall.exe, it got this error : an item with the same key has already been added (mscorlib).
what i did is excluded all the packages from the project and ran it for one package it worked..gradually i added a package after the other and build it and it worked..then suddenly the error appeared again and i can't get rid of it even when i go back to my initial state of 2 packages.. i can't understand why it's giving it.
i'm sure someone must have faced this problem. please help!
Thanks
ChristinaHi Christina,
One of the problems could have been that the packages use XML configurations that have the same file name.
This has been addressed for CTP16.
regards,
ash|||Hi Ash. Thanks for your reply.
Is it the file name or the configuration name?
If i change the configuration type will it work?
Thanks

error: use trust connect failure -urgent
i use visual studio.net 2003 version and when a progamme run , it told me
do not have trust connect .what is wrong ?how can I do to solute it?
We usually define trusted connection in web.congif like
<appSettings>
<addkey="connectionstring"value="server=localhost;Trusted_Connection=true;database=databaseNamw"/>
</appSettings>
In database users --> Add ServerName\ASPNET account.
That will create trusted connection for the application.
|||i did as you told me.but it occurs new error as follows:
" database" server of application error.
abnormity particular information: system.data.sqlclient.sqlexception"BUSA_QFDKDIEDKDJ" landing fail.
BUSA_QFDKDIEDKDJ is my server name.

Hi,
I have made little web application to show you how to add user in DB with trusted connection. The DB backup is in the TestDB folder called DB backup. Make Virtual directory and browse it to TestDB folder and Restore backup in MyDB (Create it). Here is link
http://www.riseofkingdoms.com/TestDB.rar
Hope it will work. Change the server name in the string like
<appSettings>
<addkey="connectionstring"value="server=BUSA_QFDKDIEDKDJ;Trusted_Connection=true;database=MyDB"/>
</appSettings>
|||Hi:
I change the server name ,but it doesn't work. and i am a new proqrammer,and dosen't know much, can you say easily.
|||i use Query Decomposition to land with trusted connection,and it success.but why
it can't work in the asp.net
|||it occurs the same error.|||Hi,
You might try checking your SQL Server - make sure you select 'Mixed' security which allows SQL Server login & password to substitute for a trusted connection.
Good luck!
|||I change the security for 'mixed' security ,but it
occurs error: trusted connection failed.and mayby
sql server's error,because when i use Query Decomposition to land with sa and no password
,bbut it failed .what is wrong?could anyone help?
|||what's wrong ?could anyone help?|||
This problem may be due to the way you have defined your Shared Datasource. Have you stored the login Credentials or used the prompt for login option?
If you used the latter you might want to change to the store credentials option. Hope this helps

Error: SSIS Runtime Object could not be created.
I am using SQL Server 2005 Version 9.00.1399.06 (Intel X86).
Whether I try to start a new Integration Services project in Visual Studio or try to import data into a database I receive the following error:
SSIS Runtime Object could not be created. Verify the DTS.dll is available and registered. The wizard can not continue and will terminate.
Unable to cast COM of type 'Microsoft.SqlServer.DTS.Runtime.Wrapper.PackageNeutralClass' to interface type
'Microsoft .SqlServer.DTS.Runtime.Wrapper.IDTSContainer90'
This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface failed due to the following error: Library not registered. (Exception from HRESULT: 0X80028010) (TYPE_E_LIBNOTREGISTERED)).
I have no idea why I am getting this error and would appreciate any help. I'm sure some of you SQL Server Gurus will know right away.
This is setup problem, please reinstal the product or consult SQL Setup forum.
You can also try running 'regsvr32 dts.dll', which will probably fix this particular problem.|||
I had the same problem and I tried running regsvr32 dts.dll and I got this error.
dts.dll in not an executable file and no registration helper is registered for this file type.
Please advise.
i also tried to re-install SP1 but Integration Services and Reporting Services were greyed out. I wonder if I had to re-install everything all over again..please advise.
|||Running resvr32 dts.dll from the dos command prompt worked for me.

|||Run regsvr32.exe with the other dll's located in the folder of dts.dll (c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\DTS\Binn). Some will be accepted by regsvr32.exe and some not. It's not important. When I tried regsrv32 dts.dll only I had the problem. After running regsvr32 with all the dll everything was OK.
